Privacy Policy

Effective August 28, 2026 · Updated September 4, 2026

Omenote is a daily quotes and reflection app for iPhone and iPad, made by an independent developer, Stefan Dasic. It is designed local-first. The short version: your data stays on your device, and we don't want it.

What Omenote stores — and where

Everything Omenote knows about you is stored only on your device, in the app's own local database:

Omenote does not require an account, and there is nothing to sign up for. Choosing themes shapes which messages are more likely to appear, and that weighting happens entirely on your device; no profile of you exists anywhere else.

What we don't do

Omenote's App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

No servers

Omenote has no backend servers, and the app makes no network requests of its own. Its entire catalog of messages ships inside the app, so the daily message, Ask for a Sign, and your journal work without an internet connection. The only network activity the app takes part in is Apple's: App Store purchases and subscription checks through StoreKit, and, if you tap a link, opening a web page in your browser.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. If you turn them on, the daily notification is scheduled locally on your device using Apple's local-notification system, at the time you choose. You can choose whether it carries a quiet reminder or the day's message itself; in both cases the content is prepared on your device. Nothing passes through our servers — we don't have any.

Purchases

Omenote Plus subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see or store your payment details, and Plus is not linked to any Omenote account. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

If you email us

If you choose to send feedback to support@omenoteapp.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you, and we don't add it to any list.

Deleting your data

Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. There is no copy anywhere else to ask us about — and, for the same reason, nothing we could restore. You can also delete individual reflections and saved messages inside the app at any time. If you're moving to a new device, Omenote's data travels with your normal device backup or Apple's device-to-device transfer.

This website

omenoteapp.com is a static website with no analytics, cookies, third-party scripts, or external fonts. Like any website, it is served by a hosting provider that may keep ordinary server logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) for security and operation; we don't use them to identify or track you.

Children

Omenote is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Omenote ever changes any of this — for example, optional sync — the change will be clearly explained here and in the app, and it will always be opt-in.
